Our extra-curricular highlights
Individual and Team Sports
Students can get involved in a variety of sports such as swimming, athletics, basketball, rugby league, netball, and volleyball, in local and state competitions. We are proud of our strong sporting culture and the success our teams and individuals achieve.
Competitions
Our students have opportunities to participate in competitions and explore their various interests. Each year, our Science students participate in the Titration Competition!
Creative and Performing Arts
Our dance, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. Our students have opportunities to perform in school at showcases, as well as in local area or state-wide events.
Excursions and Incursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world. We also have opportunities for students to participate in incursions at school, such as HSC study days, STEM enrichment days and TAS enrichment days.
Student leadership
Our school provides students with unique opportunities to build their capacity as leaders through our SRC (Student Representative Council), appointed School Leaders (Captains), and through our ACE program (Achieving Chifley Expectations) for students who demonstrate leadership qualities and independent learning. Every year, students who are identified as having strong leadership qualities attend our Leadership Camp.
Social justice initiatives
Our school community proudly supports social justice initiatives, with our students having the opportunity to lead and participate in events such as International Women’s Day, Wear It Purple Day, and the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal.
