Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and the broader school community. We value opportunities to welcome our community into the school to share in special events and celebrations.
Community involvement with NAIDOC Day
We value our strong connections with the local Aboriginal community and organisations. Our NAIDOC Day celebrations are strengthened by the involvement of parents and local Aboriginal community members, who mentor and guide our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in preparing their cultural performances and cultural dress. Their support helps our students celebrate identity, culture, and community with pride.
Community involvement with HAKA Warriors
Our strong sense of community is reflected in the success of programs like Haka Warriors, run in partnership with PCYC. We also have strong connections with PATHE (Pasifika Achievement to Higher Education), which supports our Pasifika students in celebrating their culture and pursuing future pathways. These partnerships enrich our school community and provide opportunities for students to grow in confidence, leadership and cultural pride.
Community involvement with Multicultural Day
Behind the scenes, parents and local community members support students in preparing for cultural performances on Multicultural Day, celebrating the rich diversity and unity of our school community.
