What will I be doing in this course?
In Year 11 this course consists of three modules, whereas in Year 12 it consists of four modules. This is what will be studied:
Year 11:
- Achieving through English: English in education, work and community
- The Big Screen: English in Filmmaking
- Who do I think I am?: English and the self
Year 12:
- Common Module -Texts and Human Experiences
- We are Australian: English and citizenship, community and cultural identity
- Discovery and Investigation: English and the Sciences
- Playing the Game: English in sport
How will this course help me in the future?
This course will allow students to develop effective communication and literacy skills to enhance student participation in all aspects of post-school life. Undertaking this course enables students to access information, engage in a range of recreational and leisure activities and undertake further education, training and employment.
